Holiday Loan

May 1 is International Labor Day, and an Official Government Holiday here.  It landed on a Thursday this year and the government declared it to be a three day holiday.  Oh, boy!  Three days off!  Sort of.  Everyone gets May 1 off, or at least students, government workers, and anyone else with a holiday minded boss. They didn't have to work Friday or Saturday either.  However, everyone had to work Sunday to make up for the day off Friday. And they already had Saturday off, so actually they only got one day off.  Friday was just loaned to them.
This is just a con.  A shell game.  Three days off in a row, then six days in a row working passes for a holiday in China.  Party like it's 1959!!
